I love this photo because it captures the happy, sweaty me who tromped around Florence and Umbria and who ran up and down the castle steps and surrounding fields, visiting the easels of the painters who had come to learn from me at The Winslow Art Center travel workshop.
Hi Ingrid, A inspiring letter. To be sure the collectors are people to be applauded for preserving times long past. I enjoyed being awed by the amazing craftsmanship and beautiful expressions. Thank you for a great week and for reminding me of one more reason to be grateful.
Thank you happy, sweaty Ingrid! - for sharing your photos. Looks like it was a fabulous trip, seeing new things and meeting new people, and (the painters in your workshop) painting up a storm!
Oh how I love this post, Ingrid! You have expressed so eloquently thoughts and feelings I have had about beautiful art for many years. Thank you for your words. For your photos. For sharing so much of yourself. Those of us who are one of your students from time to time are fortunate indeed.

❤️ I agree, Rosanne: we have so many reasons to be grateful. Every one of the paintings that I saw felt like a blessing.
I feel that even about the duds that sometimes happen on my own easel:)
So True
Thanks for taking the time and effort to share your knowledge and self with our merry band of painters. It was wonderful.
It was a great group, Shari and I loved getting to know all of you.
Your dry humour is something I’ll remember with a smile😘
