I love painting beach figures! They have everything that makes me happy: light, saturated colour, movement, gesture and narrative. And, they’re aspirational. I live in a landlocked part of the country and yearn for the sea.

I'll be leading a 1½-hour online demonstration at The Winslow Art Center on painting these sunny figure sketches. I’ll cover how I capture proportion, integrate the figure into its environment, and bring the scene to life with warmth through colour and colour temperature.

You can tune in and watch the demonstration live, asking questions during the process, or watch the recording later. It will be available to you for a full year after purchase.
